Janice LeAnn Brown stars as series lead Billie, a mischievous young
wizard-in-training, in “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place,” a
continuation of the Emmy® Award-winning “Wizards of Waverly
Place.”

Brown’s acting career gained momentum with her first speaking role
alongside Justin Long in “Do You Want to See a Dead Body?” and a
role as Young Rainbow on the hit ABC show “black-ish.” She also
appeared on Disney’s “Muppet Babies Play Date.” Brown’s
breakout role came when she portrayed the 4-year-old version of Rue,
played by Zendaya, in “Euphoria.” Additional credits include
“Endings, Beginnings,” “Best Foot Forward,” “Montross: Blood
Rules,” Disney Channel’s “Just Roll With It,” and Disney
Channel’s “Bunk’d.”

Off-screen, Brown is described as bright, fun-loving and adored by
those who know her. She enjoys spending time with friends and playing
with her dog, and she cherishes moments with her family.

Brown was born in September 2010 to a single mother who served in the
U.S. Army. Raised initially and then adopted by her maternal
grandparents, Brown spent her early years traveling between Columbia,
South Carolina, upstate New York and Colorado, where her mother was
stationed. At the age of 4, Brown, along with her parents and big
brother, moved to Los Angeles. Inspired by her brother’s acting
pursuits, she decided at a young age that she wanted to pursue acting
herself and began extensive training for two and a half years.
